Rachel Donadio is the Rome bureau chief of the New York Times, responsible for Italy, the Vatican, Spain, Greece and parts of North Africa.
From 2004 to 2008 Rachel was a writer and editor at the New York Times Book Review. She has covered culture and politics for a range of publications in New York, and from 1999 to 2000 she was a staff reporter at the International Herald Tribune’s Italy Daily supplement in Milan (Editor's note: the supplement, a joint venture with Corriere della Sera, is no longer published).
Born in New York in 1974, she graduated with a degree in Humanities from Yale University in 1996.
