Enrico Sassoon

Enrico Sassoon is Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Business Review Italy and Chief Executive Officer of StrategiQs Edizioni (the review's publishing house). He is Chairman and CEO of The Ruling Companies, an association gathering around 120 member companies and professionals, and Chairman of Global Trends, an independent research and communication company based in Milan. He also works as an independent management consultant for companies, consulting firms and associations.

He is a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (of which he has been CEO from 1998 to 2006) and of Aspen Institute Italia.

As a professional journalist, he has worked for Il Sole 24 Ore group from 1977 to 2003. In the same editorial group he has covered over the years many positions of high responsibility. He has been Editor in Chief of the financial weekly magazine Mondo Economico from 1993 to 1997 and Scientific Manager of the group from 1997 to 1998. He has also been Editor-in-Chief of the management review L'Impresa and of the economic-environmental review Impresa Ambiente, from 1985 to 1998.

During his long career as a journalist he has written over 2.000 articles and has received many awards, such as Premio Brizio, for economic journalism and Premio Federchimica for the environment.

He has been visiting professor at Università Cattolica and Università Bocconi in Milan from 1992 to 1997 and has published over 60 academic essays and 8 books dealing with international economics, international trade, energy and environment.

Enrico Sassoon holds a degree in Economics (Università Bocconi of Milan, 1972), in Political Sciences (Università Statale of Milan, 1980) and in History (Università Statale of Milan, 1980). He speaks fluently English and French.
